Three guys, three instruments, and absolutely no interest in smoothing anything out. Crashing Temples are all about dirty grunge, trashy punk and hard-hitting rock with a serious dose of ’90s DNA. Formed in 2016, the trio shamelessly raids the musical heroes of their youth, mixing grunge, indie and alternative rock with whatever somehow qualifies as rock these days. The result is loud, rough around the edges and occasionally just the right amount of fucked up. It rumbles, rattles and fuzzes. No glossy production, no obsession with perfection – just sweat, energy and attitude. DIY in the best possible way.

Crashing Temples make music for the streets, the bar and the mixtape in your old cassette deck. For everyone who’d rather have an amp turned up way too loud than a song polished to death. After their first releases and countless gigs across the southwestern German music scene, the trio dropped their first DIY EP in 2018. In October 2022, UMAMI followed – their debut album, released on CD and all major streaming platforms. In 2025, the single I Wanna Be Your Dog was released as a first taste of the upcoming EP Junkyard Ballads. The EP is dirtier, louder and definitely not polished.
